Since its founding in 2001, Autotask has become the #1 provider of web-based IT Services Management Software, used by thousands of IT service professionals worldwide. In order to increase customer satisfaction, Autotask wanted to replace their existing homegrown ad hoc reporting solution and offer end users easy-to-use self-service reporting, including scheduling and custom formatting. The catch was they had to find and implement an embedded BI solution that could utilize the existing business object layer framework (C#.NET) and convert a large number of legacy System Reports with no decrease to gross margin in the transition. Exago BI rose to the challenge.
Implementing Exago BI took far less effort than implementing a custom solution, and Exago BI’s white-labeling and single sign-on provided a UI that was already familiar to Autotask end users, so there was no interruption in service or change in how they accessed the application. In the time since deploying to production, Exago BI has provided a very high degree of performance and availability and has become real-time mission critical to Autotask’s operations.
Exago BI delivers ongoing improvements with virtually no additional internal development costs thanks to their scalable and predictable license model.
The initial announcement and demonstration of Exago BI at Autotask’s annual CommunityLive customer event was met with literal cheers and applause.
