Exago Hosts Seventh Annual Client Advisory Board Meeting

Aug 6, 2018

Shelton, CT - On July 26th and 27th, Exago Inc. hosted its seventh annual Client Advisory Board Meeting at Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY, bringing together representatives of more than twenty SaaS providers to confer on the direction of Exago BI.

The first day of the conference was dedicated to an in-depth discussion of recent enhancements and the product roadmap, ending with a look at long-term plans. There was much support for the new ExpressView walk-through tutorial, slated for release in v2018.2, as well as valuable feedback on the use cases surrounding dashboard exporting. Performance was another primary focus, which carried into the second day’s panel discussions on data preparation and extensibility.

“Exago BI is designed to be embedded and customized, so it’s very important for our clients to share their implementation methods,” says Exago co-founder and CEO Mike Brody. “We learn from them as much as they learn from each other.”

Glen Kingston, Cloud Development Manager with asset and maintenance management platform ManagerPlus, values the annual CAB meeting both as a networking opportunity and as a platform for sharing his company’s vision for the product. “It's nice to be able to meet the developers that are actually building Exago,” he says. “It's really helped us connect and share our input with the goal of making the product better in the future.”

Following presentations on Thursday, CAB members mingled on the Mohonk Sunset Porch before filing in to dinner. From there, many took part in an Exago-lead evening stroll around Lake Mohonk. On Friday morning, Exago Senior Manager of Client Services Travis McGrath led a group of attendees on a rock scramble to Skytop tower, a local landmark overlooking the Shawangunk Ridge.

“This place is absolutely great,” says Roman Trevino of contractor relationship solution Management Controls, gesturing at the lake and surrounding woodland. “I love coming here, I wouldn’t miss a chance to come.”

This year’s meeting was led in large part by Alex Agoado, Exago’s new Product Manager and former Technical Writer. "This year’s meeting has deepened my appreciation for the CAB community,” he says. “Their insightful feedback is such an important driver behind Exago BI’s evolution and continued success. I look forward to getting them even more involved in the product conversation.”
