Exago, Inc. was founded in July, 2006 by Mike Brody and Stew Meyers, experienced application software executives. Exago is Mike's third start-up and Stew's second.
Their experience with traditional reporting solutions left them, and more importantly their clients, frustrated with the inability of end users to effectively use the ad hoc reporting tools available. Instead of being liberated, end users became even more dependent on IT resources. This was the genesis of Exago.
The premise for Exago's success and yours is simple — adding powerful, flexible, self-service ad hoc reporting, dashboards and analytics to your application results in more sales and happier customers.

Mike Brody

President and CEO

As Exago BI’s Co-Founder and /CEO, Mike Brody has led the company through a decade of continual growth to its position as a self-funded and profitable player in the Business Intelligence software market.

Prior to Exago, Mike pioneered the development of the industry's first equity compensation application as CEO of CMS/Transcentive. CMS received a VC investment as well as investments by Merrill Lynch and Paine Weber. It was eventually purchased by Computershare.

His first entrepreneurial endeavor was as co-founder and COO of Stockholder Systems, Inc., an application software company focused on shareholder administration which was eventually taken public.

Stew Meyers

Executive Vice President and Chief Architect

From 1985 through 2000, he was lead developer for CMS (Corporate Management Solutions) and later VP of Development when CMS became known as Transcentive. After that he spent several years consulting for Citigroup and Computershare. During these years, primarily based on client frustrations with 'off the shelf' report writers, Stew recognized a need for better end-user reporting than was available. Armed with this knowledge, he created several sophisticated, but easy to use, report writers to work with these companies' applications. The culmination of his years of experience resulted in the creation of eWebReports (now called Exago).

Stew attended City College of NY and Western Connecticut State University. His other interests include music, photography, and a love of discovering how things work.

Scott D. Epter, Ph.D.

Vice President of Technology

Scott has worked with Global Fortune 500 companies in a variety of industries including financial services, life sciences, high-tech, manufacturing and consumer goods. Before joining Exago Inc., Scott was a senior member of the Americas IT infrastructure COO team at a major global bank. While at IBM, Scott served in a variety of roles including software development team leader and founding member of IBM's well-respected High Availability Center of Competency. Scott also led the team that developed IBM's Deep Computing Visualization software from a research prototype. Scott has been coding since the early days of the web and still remembers the days of NCSA Mosaic.

In 2000, Scott received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Scott is no stranger to analytics and business intelligence. His dissertation introduced ground-breaking algorithms for clustering large datasets.

When not in the office, Scott can be found with his family, in the mountains, working on his house or large vegetable garden, or simply enjoying a glass of wine by the fire.

Mark Selinger

Vice President of Strategy

Mark has 20+ years of experience in developing, marketing and supporting global technology solutions.  He has worked with hundreds of companies across North America, EMEA and Latin America in order to identify internal and external challenges and implement software solutions that address them.

Prior to Exago Mark was the founder and President of Proactive Compliance Solutions, a management consulting and advisory firm focused on helping companies proactively consider and adopt governance and compliance technology solutions. Other roles include President of Computershare Governance Services, VP Business Development at Corptax, and VP Strategic Alliances at Transcentive (Solium).

While at Computershare, Mark was a customer and member of the Exago Advisory Board and has always recognized the critical importance of offering customers and end users a user friendly and powerful reporting and analytics solution.

Mark is a proud alumnus of Fairfield University (go Stags!) and remains active within their StagUp business plan and start-up competition.

Suzanne Ryan

Vice President of Marketing

Since 1985, Suzanne has developed and managed marketing for both consumer and business products across a wide variety of industries. She began her career at an award-winning boutique agency in New York City. There she oversaw the agency transition from traditional to digital, and she remembers thinking that the new, extremely heavy computers with tiny black and white screens were the coolest thing that ever existed.

Suzanne went on to gain deep project management experience serving as Senior Art Director, Production Manager and Copy Writer on staff and as an independent consultant for companies in New York, Idaho and Connecticut.

Suzanne attended School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute. Outside of the office she can usually be found with either a crossword, Sudoku or fishing rod in hand.
